Introduction

The Tawhid faith is a spiritual, philosophical, and esoteric path that emancipates man from the bonds of dogma and guides him onto the direct worship of his Creator. Tawhid, meaning the ascent to the realization of the Unity of God, is a timeless tradition that started with Adam and continues till the Day of Judgment.

Inherently, the followers of Tawhid revere all the prophets, and all the messengers, and they respect their sacred books. The Druze which is a social and political label that was given to the followers of Tawhid in the Levant is due to the name of one of the apostles that traveled through the regions of Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine.

Aside from being a strong and rooted community that values the principles of family and brotherhood, the teachings of the Druze focus on the importance of religious tolerance, inter-faith dialogue, coexistence, and unity in diversity.
